The Sherry Chappell Cooper Foundation’s mission is to grant funds to organizations that provide rescue, rehabilitation and care for the health and well-being of dogs and cats in the Southeastern United States, and elephants and big cats throughout the United States.

Founded by Sherry Chappell Cooper in 2002, she named it “The Oliver Foundation, Inc.” after one of her beloved King Charles Spaniels, “Oliver”. While always a lover of animals, her numerous safaris to Africa imbued her with a special fondness for zebras, elephants and most of all cheetahs. As a result of this, she set up the foundation in order to ensure the viability of organizations that contribute to the protection and care of animals that she loved so much. Upon Sherry’s death in 2018, the Board of Directors renamed the Foundation after her, The Sherry Chappell Cooper Foundation, which to this day continues to carry on her legacy.
